Get a good night's sleep before your session
Eat & hydrate
Have a solid meal and drink plenty of water
Dress comfortably
Wear clothes allowing easy access to the area
Bring comforts
Headphones, snacks, a book, blanket — all welcome
Things to avoid
No working out — day of appointment
Skip exercise on the day of your session
No blood thinners — 72 hours prior
Avoid Aspirin, Advil, Ibuprofen, and Fish Oil supplements
No alcohol or caffeine — night before & day of
Both increase bleeding and sensitivity during your session
Good to know
On your period?
You can still come in. Taking two regular-strength Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment can help reduce discomfort.
Planning a vacation after?
Avoid pools, sweating, salt water, and direct sun exposure for at least 14 days following your tattoo.
